Project type
un-funded
Location
5 districts of Haryana
S3N: Solidarity, Sisterhood, Survivor Network is a strategically crafted initiative that empowers women in cross-region marriages or survivors of bride trafficking in Haryana through a supportive virtual maternal family. By addressing socio-cultural and legal challenges, the program establishes a recognized identity for participants, a crucial step for accessing legal and social entitlements and overcoming marginalization due to absent documentation or recognition. S3N fosters solidarity and sisterhood through community-building activities and festivals, nurturing emotional and social bonds that combat isolation and enhance collective resilience. Healing activities are integrated to support survivors in addressing psychological and emotional trauma, promoting holistic recovery and enabling them to reclaim agency over their lives. Particular emphasis is placed on reclaiming rights, as S3N prioritizes equipping women with comprehensive knowledge, legal resources, and robust collective support to assert their matrimonial and property rights, which are frequently denied in such contexts. This focus ensures women can secure long-term security, dignity, and equitable access to their entitlements. The program’s virtual framework ensures inclusivity and scalability, positioning S3N as a sustainable model for fostering solidarity and driving systemic change for women in challenging circumstances.
